This duplex on the roof of an existing building was built for a family that wanted to benefit from presence of a neighboring park. Through the glass canopy, a canopy of trees is visible. Bookshelves, stairs, and the railing of the mezzanine find expression in a single architectural statement. By integrating the mezzanine slab in the storage system, the visual extension of the living room and dining room is enhanced, compensating for the lower sections at the exterior corners. The perimeter walls are treated as built-in furniture. The night lighting on the peripheral terraces encompasses the foliage of the park.
