Gstaad Chalet

This cottage has two aspects: The more traditional one reflects the aesthetic and ornamental model of the traditional Alpine chalet, and is informed by local cultural practices. The other represents a freer division of interior spaces, employing the same type of wood as a continuous “cloth.” Cabinets and equipment are fully recessed to create spaces where pure lines allow the materials to sing.
